Burglary Arrest

On January 28, 2010 at approximately 11:00 AM Carmel Police Officers responded to the 9700 block of Seaside Drive for a burglary in progress call. A female called 911 after two male subjects kicked in her front door. Officers arrived and observed the front door of the apartment busted in. They searched the apartment and located two males inside. The subjects were taken into custody without incident.

They were identified as:

• Tyrone Ice, 38 year old, black male from Indianapolis.

• Calvin Sarver, 35 year old, black male from Indianapolis.

Both subjects were arrested for Burglary and were transported to the Hamilton County Jail. They are being held on $10,000 bond.

Investigators believe this was a random daytime burglary attempt. The homeowner did an excellent job remaining calm in a very stressful situation, and quickly calling the police.

The Carmel Police Department would like to remind everyone to stay alert and report suspicious activity.

* Lt. Horner will be available at the Carmel Police Department for interviews until 4:30 PM.
